Amman- Jordan, July 2007: Under the patronage of his Excellency Prime Minister Ma’rouf Al Bakheet and under the motto “Drugs Kill”, City Mall participated in the world anti-drug march that has held in collaboration with the Public Security Directorate and Anti-Narcotics Department.

The march brought together a number of City Mall employees who were wearing branded City Mall shirts holding the slogan “Drugs Kill”, in addition to a number of Jordanian citizens from both the private and the public sectors.

Following the march, which took off from the Public Security Directorate Building and concluded at Prince Hamzeh Stadium, a celebration ceremony was held including a friendly football match between a number of Jordanian journalists and Jordanian artists.

“We are honored to be participating in this initiative as we believe that our constant support - as the management and as the staff of City Mall - for all sorts of national initiatives is an integral part of our social commitment. We are highly conscious about the importance of fighting against this dangerous phenomenon that threatens the welfare of our society, in particular, the Jordanian youth,” said Zaid Al-Daoud, General Manager, City Mall.

City Mall’s participation in this march comes in line with the Mall’s efforts to maintain positive interaction with the Jordanian community, and is a pure testament of the importance of the private sector’s role in supporting national initiatives.
